We lay in bed this morning for as long as we could bear to; my blood test was of the 14 hour fasting variety, so no early morning tea for me. Fortunately, the surgery was running to time as usual, so not too long to wait before I could get something to eat.
As I passed the pharmacy, I picked up a prescription that I'd ordered on line, and made it back to the boat for breakfast a bit before ten.
The day was splendidly sunny, so we took a walk to and along the river, stopping on the way back for another natter with Roger and Janet on Shiraz. Back at the boat, we were putting some sandwiches together when there was a tap on the roof (no, I'm not going to make the gag about Peter Mason's sense of humour again…)
/wahaha
It proved to be our good friend Jane Howarth, taking part in the Village Walk once more. She was looking so much better than the last time we saw her, it was really very good to catch up. We must try for a longer session very soon.
It's been a quiet afternoon after all that; I ran the engine for a bit to top up the batteries, we caught up with the paper and stuff and generally pottered about.
Just one more day here and then we'll be off again, all the way back to Mercia, probably.
