Bright but cold again...

…and that's just the author…

/wahaha

It is nice to see the sun shining all day, though we had a serious frost last night. As a result of the improved illumination, we were inspired to work quite hard this morning, and to take a decent walk this afternoon. More text was created for our books (I've done 20 recipes now) and Sheila finished off drying the laundry she did yesterday.

Sheila had picked up a can of Brantano Nano Protector waterproofer in Burton on Monday, and I applied it to our new Chatham Marine shoes just before lunch. Time will tell whether it works or not.

After lunch and a phone natter with Elanor, we walked to Stenson Lock along a slithery muddy towpath; you get a lot more exercise walking in those conditions. On the way out, we bumped into Stephen and Jayne and agreed to meet up with them for coffee on Friday morning after our Ocado delivery has arrived,

And that's about it for today, really; very satisfying, but easily told. No wonder newspapers tend to concentrate on the bad news…

One other bit of good news; she wouldn't know it, but Sally's post yesterday was the 1,400th of this blog. Doesn't time fly when you're having fun?
