Wintery err...

Couldn't think of another polite word to put after the first one; it's been misty, murky and chilly all day, and the forecast is for sub-zero temperatures by the end of the week. Winter clearly has not done with us yet.

It made it feel a bit odd writing up my recipe for spag bol this morning…

/hmm

We've kept the fire stoked and just got on with life, of course. One of the boating mottoes is "What can't be cured must be endured" after all. Fortunately, the new issues of both Canal Boat and Waterways World were in the shop this morning, so we've got plenty to read in addition to the Indy. Speaking of which, would you say that "Cartel" is an adequate answer to the concise crossword clue "Trust"?

No, me neither.

We restarted the Walking for Health walks this afternoon, though it was a fairly basic plod along the canal to Bridge 21 by the Nadee restaurant and so back along the road to the marina. No matter, it gives us a reason for a further walk and some socialising with non-boaters.

Also, we're two of the youngest there…

Talking of inappropriate dishes, I'm cooking Thai Green Chicken curry tonight as the frost forms on the pontoons.

Tomorrow, an Ocado delivery then coffee with Stephen and Jayne in the Willow Tree.
