Progress

Sure enough, it turned to rain with a vengeance last night and by this morning the snow had vanished. We had a splashy sort of walk to Betty's Farm for meat, including sausages to try in a new recipe tonight, and picked up some toothpaste from the pharmacy on the way back.

Here in the boat I finished editing Sheila's book, created a front cover for it from a photo of a daft duck I had and converted it to .mobi format to read through on my Kindle for proofreading. Here's a sneak preview of the cover:

This is the black and white version I made to check how it will look on the Kindle screen; I'll turn it back to a coloured one when we upload the finished book to Amazon, so that it looks pretty on the web page. Even after I've finished proofing, we won't actually upload it until mine is ready as well, so probably by the end of the month.

Apart from that, we've been pretty quiet. We had our usual amble round the marina this afternoon and bought the new issue of Waterways World.

Now, I must look up that recipe for sausages in apple sauce...

I love the cover of the book in black and white. It looks good and has an ageless quality to it. Enjoying the blog btw Bruce and Sheila! A welcome antidote to the busy-ness of life. Heledd
