It's been another rather lazy day, frankly, with the rain and wind discouraging us from going anywhere apart from shopping and dentist trips into the village. There's not been quite enough sun to top up the battery charge so I'm running the engine for just a bit as I do this post.
The time wasn't wholly wasted – I did an update of the Braidbar Owners' Pub Guide this morning.
We both had clean bills of health from the dentist, so we're free to go and won't need to hang about here later in the month. Current thinking is to wait out the wind tomorrow and go on into Mercia on Sunday. Elanor and Sally plan to walk up to Dallow Lane lock on Sunday morning and rendezvous with us there.
We'll probably stay in the marina for a week or so – there's an Open Garden weekend here in Alrewas on the last weekend of the month which should be fun.
