This blog is about life on board our narrowboat Sanity Again, cruising the inland waterways of the UK (mainly in the spring, summer and autumn) and living in a marina in the winter. It's the way I choose to write it; if you don't like it, there are many other boating blogs.

Dog to dog blog: a carrot Tuesday
Hi guys
Here I am again, checking out the AGPs* state of health. It’s been a pretty quiet day, though Mum had a bit of trouble getting her act together first thing so I found myself cantering down the pontoon (again).
That left me all wound up of course, but the AGPs were pretty firm about making me calm down. In any case they’ve got a new toy and were much more interested in playing with their rotten phone than in playing with me, chiz, chiz.
Did finally get them organised to have an amble round the marina, but not before this guy turned up to natter to them accompanied by a wet flying hearthrug (a Bearded Collie to you) name of Meg. He seemed to think that I’d be fine to chat to her ‘cos she was female too.
Huh? Might work with humans, but any bitch who wants to invade my territory better be ready for a scrap. Course Grandpa knows this, so I was left shut in the boat whilst they all yakked on for what seemed like hours outside, Meg making the most of her opportunities to sit on everyone’s feet.
Good job she’s about half my weight…
/wahaha
As I say, finally we got to go round the marina, look at the lodge (big deal, loads of plants round it now) stop at the shop, back to the boat for some creative loafing.
Must say, lunch was a bit better than recently; apple core, chunk of cheese rind, Jarlsberg, very tasty, Norway is good for something, knew it had to be, and, at last, a decent sized carrot.
Got all that lot munched up, everyone stop for a post prandial doze (Granny says she didn’t, I’m told to say, believe what you like…), then off for a proper walk. Granny stayed behind ‘cos she’s got sore feet from too much walking yesterday, she says, but Grandpa and I had a good old time in the quarry fields.
Much charging about and I found a decent sort of stream to have a paddle in and an interim slurp.
Back at the boat to chill out, though even that’s been difficult as it’s a bit warm in here. Never mind, once I’ve posted this I’ll get my head down again until Mum comes to pick me up before going to her evening class.
Take care all of you out there – Archie: I’m thinking of you Beanz,
Loads of licks
Your friend
Sally

So nice of you to look after the AGP's so well - you're saving your mummy a LOT of hard work :-)
