Between parties

It was a great time last night at Steve and Sal's lodge. We met lots of our fellow lodge owners, consumed quantities of food and drink and got to know our neighbours. There was music and dancing, some of it an excellent performance on acoustic guitar by Mercia's answer to Francis Rossi (still playing after all these years), Wynne James.

And that's before he has his hearing aids fitted…

We managed to drag ourselves away sometime after midnight, knowing that we've got another knees up tonight.

We succeeded in staggering round the marina this morning and Elanor duly gave me a lift to Betty's this afternoon to collect a couple of kilos of sirloin wing, like forerib but a bit longer. Finally, she and I took Sally to play copse and rompers, a easy way to get her well exercised. The humans ambled round whilst Sal orbited the copse, leaping over fallen trees and bramble breaks and chasing squirrels half way up their trees.

Meantime Sheila's been doing some heavy brainwork sorting out ISAs for this year, what a star.

I'll try and blog tomorrow, but don't worry if I don't make it…
