Sally on Sunday

I’m so glad we didn’t leave it until today to get the pump out; this morning’s walk round the marina was very brisk indeed in strong winds. We’ve mostly been loafing since, rather, though Elanor and Sally came round just after lunch and I went with them both to field one to exercise the pooch.

This is the field that had the sheepses in; you can tell when Sal’s exercised enough by the way she loses interest in playing with the tyre throw toy and starts eating sheep poo instead. :(

Back at the boat we tried her on one of the carrot based treats, taking care not to let her lick our fingers. This was as popular as the cheesy one, though much harder to chew. In the end she swallowed it whole and then stood there with her eyes crossed as it went down. I tried her with a cheese one as well, and that got munched up no bother.

Here’s a shot of her watching the flight of the biscuit:

Spot the biscuit; Sally has!

I think that the only other news of note is that we’ve now sold 600 Kindle books between us, nothing like as good as Ian's sale (he’s over the 1000 he tells me) but still very gratifying. Many thanks to all our readers!

For newcomers, there’s an explanatory section and links to buy them over there on the right…

I love Sally's concentration :-)

Baking those treats gave me a nice lift (though I wasn't that low to start off with!) - so chuffed she's enjoying them.
