Busy day

Today we bought some cratch cover cleaning stuff from Midland Chandlers (Fabsil for the woven outer surface and Eat My Dirt Ninja Cleaner for the vinyl inner surface), had lunch and went into Derby on the 1325.

There we did some shopping of a more conventional kind and caught the shuttle bus to the Royal Derby Hospital. We got there quite early and had to sit around the Eye Out Patients for a time. I was finally seen five minutes after my booked time, whereupon the Visual Fields technician apologised for keeping me waiting.

She said that if only she'd been a bit ahead on her clinic she would have taken me in early. It's that kind of hospital.

On the way back we just managed to transfer from the shuttle to the V3 at the ring road, though we nearly blew it because the V3 service was being operated by Unibus, not Trent Barton and we were slow in flagging it down.

Still, the driver stopped anyway and we got back to the boat just on five.

It's been a busy few days and a session of doing not very much is indicated, methinks.
