A delivery and stuff

Following on from yesterday, it seems there are better blogging apps than this one, but you have to pay for them, sometimes as much as £2.99. I'm trying to summon the courage to ask for permission to buy one; I'll have to catch the boss in a good mood...

😏

(Edit: sigh… the Emojis seem reluctant to show in the blog, though they turn up in other websites. Keep trying, Bruce)

In the meantime, I have discovered the Emoji keyboard on the iPad, so hopefully humorous icons will again appear for your delectation.

This morning's Ocado delivery went much more smoothly than last time. Mark in the Raspberry van rang when he was ten minutes away, giving me just nice time to get round to the vehicle gate before he arrived. By the time I got back, he was carrying crates from the van to the boat, cheerfully as always.

Once it was all stowed, there was just nice time to take a walk round the marina, admiring the new lodge that's been delivered to plot 18. It's very big, in fact it came in four bits, but is well hidden in the trees.

After lunch, we washed the port gunwale in preparation for blacking it. We'd planned to do this tomorrow, but unfortunately, poor Elanor has twisted her ankle and will be immobile for at least a couple of days, probably. We may well go over to Stretton by bus in the morning to see how she is and generally give moral support.

😇

Still no appointment for me; if one doesn't arrive tomorrow, I'm going to give them a ring. I'm not spending a very pleasant summer sat around in the marina waiting for them to get their act together.
