Ambling Monday

A bit of a mixture today. Unusual in that Sheila did a WeBS walk, postponed from yesterday because of the Classic Cars, I guess. Meanwhile, I went down to the village for some nice loaves of bread and a few other bits and pieces.

More normally, Sheila's been running wash loads all day and taking care of the plant troughs. They need watering twice a day at the moment as a result of the combination of warm sun and breezy wind. It's being a very breezy summer.

We had another walk round the marina this afternoon, calling in at the office as we went by to sign our mooring agreement for next year.

Sitting out in the well deck earlier, I pondered what fun it would be to have a little dinghy, maybe with an electric outboard, to potter about the marina in. The water space is large enough to make that interesting; indeed the Stenson Belle was doing just that yesterday, three quid for a trip round the marina.

Mind you, now that she's based here, I don't know why they don't give her a more appropriate name; Mercia Maid or something.

Anyway, to come back to the point I was making, just for a change, something like the Sportyak, say, as seen here: http://www.bicsportboats.com/products/sportyak-245,3,69/sportyak-245-blue-white,636.html

(This Blogger app on the iPad is very handy, but you can't do proper links on it :( )

Tomorrow's excitement is an Ocado delivery...
