Getting it together

Sheila wants to make it clear that I didn't really need her permission to buy this copy of BlogPress app to do this post, and she won't even deduct its cost from my Kindle Book allowance...

;)

We've had a busy and productive day and are now reasonably weary. First off, the important stuff; Elanor's ankle/foot is much better, though it's going to be a few days before she's fully mobile again. She plans to come over here first thing tomorrow so that we can run Sally for her before it gets too hot.

Meanwhile, most of the morning was spent blacking the port side gunwale, which now looks very smart. I'm glad it's done, rollering blacking in the heat isn't much fun.

Peter and Janet off the other Sanity came over just as we'd finished and collected some crochet Sheila's been doing for them; they seemed very pleased with it, always a relief, and stayed for a cup off coffee and a natter.

After lunch and removing the masking tape, we took a walk round the marina, ending by popping into the shop for some milk. Still no appointment, boo.

Back at the boat I rang the clinic and was dealt with by a very helpful woman. She's sorted an appointment for me for a week tomorrow, hooray.

So now we can relax a bit; dog exercising tomorrow, and Graeme, Cathy and the boys arrive on Friday evening for the weekend.

I love it when it all comes together. Thank you, Hannibal Smith.
